Eugenia Forteza

French-Argentinean Soprano Eugenia Forteza has been praised for her “soulful mood” (Opera Wire) and “fine tone and spirited acting” (Voce di Meche). Eugenia was a Finalist and Opera Role Prize Winner at the 2017 Concorso Internazionale di Canto Katia Ricciarelli in Cerisano, Italy.

Recent career highlights include her Colombian debut in concert at Museo Nacional de Colombia, her Canadian debut as Noémie in Massenet’s Cendrillon with Institut Canadien d’Art Vocal, originating the roles of Thérèse/Dada Queen in Tabula Rasa by Jarrar-Goodwin as part of the 2018 NY Opera Fest, covering the title role in Bare Opera’s Poppea and singing the role of La Pastorcita in the US premiere of El Rey Nació by José Luis González Moya. Eugenia holds a B.M in Vocal Performance (Summa cum Laude) from Boyer College of Music at Temple University and a M.M in Opera from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.

Upcoming engagements in 2019 include singing in Buenos Aires, Argentina for Magna Lírica’s Puccini Gala, covering the title role and being an ensemble member in María de Buenos Aires with Bare Opera, creating the role of Ugly Duckling in Felix Jarrar’s new opera Mother Goose, singing Frasquita in Carmen with Hudson Opera Theater and being a cover artist for New Amsterdam Opera’s Hérodiade.
