Olivia Smith Grugan
Mezzo-Soprano Olivia Grugan is the Production Manager of the International Vocal Arts Institute. Olivia has been a soloist with the Forest Hills Choir, Astoria Choir, and Mannes Baroque Ensemble. Olivia’s concert work includes the Lord Nelson Mass, The Creation, Ein Deutsches Requiem, The Messiah, Petite Messe Solennelle, Ceremony of Carols, and a John Cage Tribute Concert with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company. She has performed at IVAI, the Westchester Arts Festival, the AIMS Lieder Festival in Graz, Austria, and the Sherrill Milnes VOICExperience Festival. She has performed the role of Le Prince Charmant in Cendrillon at the National Opera Center with the New York Lyric Opera Theater. She has performed Carmen in scenes at Carnegie Hall in Weill Recital Hall, and Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus with Amore Opera at the St. Jean Theater. Olivia currently runs the Voice studio at Sage Music in LIC, Queens. She is a student of Mignon Dunn and coaches with Joan Dornemann. Olivia holds a Bachelors of Music from Vanderbilt University, and a Masters of Music from Mannes College the New School.
